Mav's 2nd Birthday & school

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great fall so far! It is getting pretty chilly here in Oklahoma! Well...a lot of things have gone on since July. Mav's 2nd birthday, Halloween, school starting, moms school almost out, and a lot of other things! Lets start with school! 8th grade is off to a great start, lots of homework but that's ok. We have done lots of fundraisers since the beginning of the school year. Right now i am selling Poinsettias for Christmas time. I was selling scentys for a trip that i was going to go on, but decided to hold off because i might be going to Belize next year for a mission trip! Oh and I went to Colorado for about 9 days 3 months ago. I had a lot of fun and are looking forward to next year too! I spent the days up there with my grandparents. We did a lot of shopping, touring, and more things. When we went to 7 falls there were chipmunks that were everywhere. I decided to hold out a chip for one, it climbed right up in my lap, sat there and ate it. LOL!! Maverick's 2nd birthday- Well it was one rainy day! It was rainy the day he was born, his 1st b-day, and even his 2nd b-day! What a suprise.....there was even a double rainbow. Therefore I knew that everything was going to be alright and that God was in control. Sometime like today...I cant stop thinking. These are the questions I think about: What if we went to a diff. hospital in Texas, would it of saved his kidneys and not of got an overdose, and not got put back to the last room left for him to die? A couple days before Christmas we moved him up to Oklahoma City. Which was a very good idea to have him closer to home. But, several days before he died he was doing great! Then he had this thing done where they went up through his groin and checked on his heart. I think somewhere in there they popped a blood vessel. He started to bleed internally. We did all kinds of test to find out where it was all coming from. Nothing. Well can you take other test, so they did. Nothing. Where in the world is the bleeding coming from. We couldn't ever find it out. I am trying my best not to complain because he is in a better place now. I drew a picture today of him in his bed in his room at the hospital, which actually looked the same. I was reading him Brown Bear, while one of the nurses was giving him meds. I remember everything as if it was yesterday. If i could do it all over again...I would. I miss that life. I miss seeing him every weekend. Anyway.....Halloween was good! We had over 1,000 visitors come to our house. If you ask me that over 3,400 pieces of candy! We dressed bam bam up in a little pumpkin outfit, i was wonder woman, Chloe was Tinkerbell, and Carter was a skateboarder. I think he was just wanting a skateboard, lol. My mom gets out of school December 7th, whoo hoo!!!!!! Oh and i have been cooking a whole lot lately! We got our oven fixed:) Well all in all God is good! The days are good and hopefully will get even better:)

Hey guys! What ever happened to my New Years Resolution? Yep, I have not been doing it! Well... lets start with the ending of school and dance! Whoo Hoo! I will be going into the 8th grade this year! Oh but wait- I got a letter in the mail the other day, from my dance place, saying that they had a great year with Chloe and I, but after 33 years of dance she will be retiring and there will not be any dance classes open in the fall. I was shocked! Then 1 week ago I got back from Falls Creek for 1 week! I had soo much fun I cant even explain it! Loved it next year I can choose if I want to go with the high schoolers or with the middle schoolers hopefully I can go with both! I cant wait to see what God has in store for next year!

Ok, I haven't wrote on here in a long time, I admit it! Busy, busy, busy bee!

Blood Drive- It went super! A lot of people, tons of pictures, good goodies! Speaking of goodies I raised at least $650.00 from my bake sale! I didn't really know that I would raise that much money! I really hope that I can raise more next year, you never know though! We totaled 44 units of blood too! That totally helped those little children in the hospital, THANK YOU LORD!
I have been whipping up a lot of coupons lately. I cannot tell you how much we have just saved in one week! My family has saved over 50% of our tickets this week alone! This week starting today (Sunday) I will be posting more about couponing and how to save money in tough situations. Tips on how to get started:

Buy at least 2 papers each week (you never know when some deal may come up)
Keep a coupon booklet, like a binder, by while you are shopping (so then you have all your stuff right in front of your eyes)
When you are getting ready to check out pick the right cashier (like a young man or somebody that is smiling:) so that you wont have to be there forever
Always keep your eyes open for great deals!

Cuddles for the Heart

On Thursday of last week we had a major snow/ice storm! I mean we are talking huge flakes of snow! That means we were out of school for 2 days!! Whooo! "Ok, Maddie just get to the point of what you are going to say, stop bragging that were out of school, OK?" Anyway, I am writing to tell a little about the ice storm as you can see and to talk about a program that I have started up in Oklahoma! It is called "Cuddles from the Heart" you may of heard it before. Its a program where people from Oklahoma or wherever want to donate new blankets for children ( birth to teen) in the hospital that have Congenital Heart Defects! Pretty cool huh? I hope we can put a smile on lots of those children's faces. I will be collecting blankets throughout the year but on September 12 (Maverick's birthday) we will be taking the blankets up to the hospital to the children! There is 12 more day's until the "Art from the Heart"- Maverick Memorial Event!! I am so excited, I will be having a bake sale so I will be baking up a storm! Home for the Holidays!

I just love Christmas! The time of year when you can just thank the people for what they have done in your life, and to give thanks to the Lord our God for doing all of his work in us and what he has done! This year we will be having Christmas with my dads side of the family. One thing that we will miss a lot is Mav... he is gonna have a great Christmas free of no tubes. Just to be able to be with the one who made all of us is sooo awesome! I know that is great! Wow 3 more days until Christmas Eve!! Hehe :). This past week has been good, crazy but great! We are now off school until January 3rd or 4th and we got off last Friday!!! I will put some pics on here on Christmas Day!!

The Funeral

Well, yesterday was the funeral... it was very said if you ask me. I wish I would of got one more chance to just say "I love you Uncle Roy, you know you can beat this lung cancer". Thanks to all the people who came and supported my family. One of our friends that owns one of the funeral places estimated that there was well over 1,200 people! That's a lot! Our church is huge, and every room downstairs that people could be in, was filled. And plus upstairs was filled with people too! When everybody got to see him at the end before we went out to the cemetery, was our last chance to say bye. On our way to the cemetery there was over miles of people behind us following. The police station wanted to show respect so there was a lot of police cars in front of us, and every busy road we drove by there was police officers blocking the streets off for all of our family and friends. After that my aunt, uncle, grandma, grandpa, 3 of my cousins, and my family went to The Delta to eat. It was very good! Then we came home and cooked dinner for one of our friends that just had a baby, he was so sweet!! That night I was thinking about what our Preacher said on Sunday, that Christmas isn't about the gifts, it is about Jesus, and giving to people. I have been thinking about that even before our Church Service on Sunday. God can help you through anything, and that is the truth. This blog isn't supposed to be about sadness, or depression, I wanted it to be for people that may need help getting through the same things we have gone through. That same night, we were looking at videos of last year when we were at the hospital (it was Christmas) and I was opening his gifts for Maverick. It is so hard to believe its almost been a year since then. But I know that it is getting closer when I can see my precious heavenly father, my uncle, and my precious baby brother. Oh how I can not wait until that day comes!! But right now all I got to do is wait and have a good time, but know that I will have a better time in heaven. Post more later and pics!!

Getting closer to Christmas!!

So many weeks, have flown by, so unbelievable! Well, many things have happened since then mostly good things!
Thanksgiving- We went out to my uncle Davids and my aunt Vickie's house! It was so much fun! A lot of my family came from out of town. So we had a great time!

I know I am skipping awhile but....
Wednesday- I was sick so I stayed home from school, then around 11:53 my uncle flew to heaven, he died from cancer that could not be cured... so his funeral is this Monday....

Today- I have a hair appt., then we got to go to the city, back here for one of Chloe's friends b-day party, I have to have a project due by Monday, so my friend is coming over, to help me! So that's our day!!

CHD and Cancer

Another week has gone by. That's good, maybe. Last night there was a Wolves football game going on here. And at 7:30 sharp there was a large CA-BAM, I started freaking out. I was thinking "OK Madeline the world is coming to an end". I ran into my mom and dads room about to tell them "Are you ready" and my mom goes "Its the fireworks from the football game." LOL! My heart was still racing about an hour after that!

As you can tell the Title is CHD and Cancer, well there is a story behind that. I have been thinking all day long about CHD and Cancer. My heart hurts for the other people out there who have a child that is fighting CHD or Cancer. There has been too many babies and people out there my age and maybe even older that are dieing because of this. I really want to put a stop to all of this and let other families and as well my family have their child or children back here. But we know that they are all in a better place now free from heart defects, cancer, and many more things out there. I am mad and sad at the same time..... Post more later!!

OK, well here comes another funny story! About 5:00 yesterday we had people showing up on our doorsteps for candy, Already?? We weren't handing candy out this year so my mom is like go and get you candy from yesterday....UGH! Then somebody else ring the doorbell, my mom said this is ridiculous, lets go to Luanne's house. So we got to Luanne's house and Luanne was out getting the pizza, while we were waiting we decided to go outside and sit in the car to watch the boys play football. OK, I set down the keys in the middle of the console. My mom closed the door and locked it when Luanne got there. My mom cries out "Madeline do you have the keys", I turned and looked at her and said no I sat them down in the console". Great I was thinking are we having car troubles all week or what? At the end Luanne took us home but crazy right? Sorry, but we forgot the camera and didn't get to take any pictures, but still I would love to see yours!!! This was one of the most fun Halloweens!!!

Here's a funny story for ya, yesterday my Meme came to our school for our class parties and it was so crowded she had to park on the side of the road. Which Thursday it was just a down pour, so it was muddy. Well, as we were trying to get out it wouldn't move. Oh great we are going to die, as I was thinking. So several people stoped by and started laughing and saying do you have it in 4-wheel drive. There was no 4-wheel drive. ERRRR..... we were there for at least 20-30 minutes trying to get out. Finally we got and and made it on time for trick or treating on McArther Street!

Today, we are going to one of our friends house to eat pizza and go trick or treating!! It is going to be lots of fun, mom is going to be a pig! That is a long funny story, she and all the nurses had to be the swine flu!!! Carter is going to be a creepy skeleton, Chloe Bell is going to be Tinker Bell, and I am going to be a doctor! I will post some good pics later!

Painting Polka Dots!

Today we went to Walmart:). I always like going to Walmart. Last weekend we went to look at houses in Edmond, and while we were at one of the houses there was this girls room with big polka dots. I liked that idea and decided to do it! That's one of the reasons we went to Walmart was to get paint. It looks awesome and I am still working on it! I will put the pictures on here this evening, I am SO excited! Then will have a voting and you will decide whether you like it, think we need more polka dots, or if you darn right hate it. We have another week and two days until fall break! Our principle decided that he likes having a professional day before fall break really starts, so we get an extra day off! That's a total of 5 days of including the days! Also just to let you know I will be baking this yummy desert this evening and cannot wait to share it with you, and yes I will take pictures. Sorry, I haven't wrote on here in awhile, I always feel bad about not writing everyday:(. Again like usual another crazy week. Chloe had dance on Monday, Chloe turned 4 on Tuesday & both Carter and I had dentist appointments & Dance, Wednesday- Church, Thursday- Dance, Friday- we cleaned and hung out. I can not believe how short this week was:). A couple of days ago my friends were teasing me about doing homework over the weekend and getting a head of the gang, well I finished a lot more than I expected tonight! I thought about going to the Wolves game tonight, but I had a feeling a probably shouldn't. I am glad I didn't because my mom wanted to call McAlister's Deli, so we did and my dad got home with the food and we paid and only got 3 meals instead of 5, we were like what is the deal? Then my mom went to go get the rest of the food & got back and finally ate her salad. When she had barely even ate any of it she said "OH MY GOODNESS!", well there was a nut like one of those things that go with screws. YIKES! So my dad is going up there tomorrow to tell the other manager about this:). Just a reminder, I am so sorry I didn't go shopping last week because there was not very good deals at all, anyway we are going to Walmart tomorrow and going to do some deals! Yesterday we had parent teacher confrences so we were out of school!!! We got a call a couple of days ago saying that my grandma Treasa has a friend Sherry ( she writes me on my blog a lot) wanted us to go and eat with my Mom, Carter, Chloe, and I at Zio's Italian Resturant. So we went. Let me tell you YUM!! You know you have to eat out once in awhile. Later, we had to go to Show Biz to get me some new point shoes, mine were too small OUCH:(. Evening, Granny's house we went. We had a good time. My Granny is a way better cook than I am, I know where I got it from!!! She had some apple cobbler! Night- Chloe Bella's birthday is coming up so we had to get some decorations. Right? She's going to have it at Benedict Street ( it's a really cool resturant to eat if you love fancy stuff. )

This week I have had the croup cough:(. It sucks..... all that cough'n makes you want to just get over it fast.

Finally, today we have stayed around the house cleaning. I love to clean, who doesnt? Dont answer that question because a lot of people dont. Dont forget tomorrow is Super Savings Sunday! I will post more tomorrow about the good deals! MC

Sorry guys we have decided that we are not going to do a group. That our family is going to walk together.

This morning I made blueberry muffins! They were delicious! My dad even liked them. My mom and I are at the library right now. This evening we are going to my grandparents house. I will take some pics and put them on here. Mavs birthday is a week from today, I have no idea what I am going to do? I remember a week or two before Mav died I specificly told the doctor I wanted him home on my birthday. He said I will try my best to do that. Now it September 5th and he is home, but not here home. Cookies and Cream Cupcakes!

Here's my recipe book!

This morning I made cookies and cream cupcakes. I found this recipe on a blog, but she hasn't wrote since March. Here's some pics, sorry there not in order. On the type of cake mix I used Pillsbury White Cake. Then on icing I used Betty Crocker Whipped Vanilla. If you want to make more of the icing I put it in a bowl and used the mixer. Then I crunched up Oreo cookies. And sprinkled them on the top. Pretty easy huh.

Today was great! Saturday I made a recipe book so I will have to post the pics tonight. This evening is very quiet, too quiet indeed. This morning Chloe went to grandma's house to stay the night. My mom has to finish up on homework. Carter is at Jack's house. And I am just writing while my mom is sitting right across the table from me working on her homework. Anyway, before I bet my mom will start talking to Jack's mom so I guess I will get to swim! Then when we pick Carter up from Jack's house we are going to go eat at Chili's, while we are there we are definitely going to get one of those Molten Chocolate Ice Cream Cakes! I will also post a pic of that. Yesterday we went to church. It was Promotion Sunday so I went and ate breakfast with the youth there, also the church started the 3 new church programs ( the Twins and Triplets). Well, I am going to talk to my mom! LOL! I will post pics tonight after I get back.

P.S. The kiddy area in the YMCA is closed for about 2 weeks. Sorry. I have already tried. But the big pool is open from 4:30-8:00 I think. Don't word me on that!

Remember a couple of weeks ago we had a family reunion. Heres Kaylee, Chloe, and I. Kay loved my sparklies. Left- Cart-man and I on our first day of school. Up- another cucumber!

If you can tell what the cake is it has a puppy dog not one of my famous cakes. It tasted horrible too. LOL!

A stressfull day

This week has been crazy with stuff. Tuesday Ms. Di, Lydia, Garrett, and Kirk. It was soo a surprise! Anyway today has been a hard day on me. I have been thinking about Mav a lot its hard to believe that he would be 1 in a couple of weeks, less than a month I know. I have seven classes this year same as usual! I was at the doctor the other day. I had to get my throat checked out because my tonsils were swollen. When I was getting a strep tr oat test ( my mom and I knew I didn't have strep though which I didn't). We saw this brochure that was a walk for the babies. I have had way too much homework this week and theres only been a week of school. Well, its bedtime for me and I am SO tired. I have a lot of pictures to post from this week and last. Sorry guys to keep you waiting.

A big day!

Today is going to be a big day for my family and I. This evening is parent teacher night where you get to meet the teacher. This year Carter got Mrs. Combe. He was really wanting her. Every year she does this theme that is so cool ( its the jungle theme). It really makes you feel like your in a real jungle. As usual I have 7 classes. Whoo! 7th grade is going to be even harder. Well post on more later...

School

This week school starts Wedenesday! Tomorrow we get to go meet the teachers and get to put our stuff in our locker! Today I got up at 8:00 a.m we had to take our truck to Fred's Tire and Battery because we had almost a flat tire. We ate at Billy Boys Barbeque with my grandma and Aunt Jan. It was really good! I went my Aunt Jan all day long helping her with getting her kindergarden class ready. I really don't have much to say today. Its been a great day though! My dad bought me a new backpack today I have been trying to fing me one and at the last minute, I got one! Well I will post more tomorrow on how school goes.

Birthday Party and a Family Reunion

Yesterday was an exciting day! First, we had to do some errands for around the house. Then we went to the mall to get one of my good friends a present. We got her a Areopostale hoodie that is light pink, hot pink, that has sequences on it and some cute bracelets (here's a thought there is little tubs by the checkout counter that say they are $1.99 but, are really marked down to $.99). While we were at the mall Mom, Chloe, Carter, and I got a Mrs. Fields cookie with good icing. When we were sitting down there was a bungee jumping thing that Carter had been dieing to do but, he didn't. That evening around 4:20 some of my friends and there parents went to go see GI- Jo. It was good, the only thing that I didn't like is they had some stabbing parts which I had to close my eyes for. If you like army stuff then I recommend you should go see it, it was interesting. After that my friends parents took me home, I had a family reunion to go to! We had a blast I made a Banana Split Brownie Pizza that everyone liked. It contains: 1 (20 oz) fudge brownie mix ( recommended: Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge Brownie Mix), 1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened, 1 (8oz) can crushed pineapple, drained, juice reserved, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 bananas, sliced and tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning, 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced, 1 cup nuts, chocolate ice cream topping or syrup, for drizzling. Then Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare the brownie mix according to box directions. Pour into the prepared pan Bake for 20 minutes, or until done. Remove from the oven and cool. Beat the cream cheese, pineapple, and sugar together in a bowl. Used any reserved pineapple juice at this time, if needed, to soften the mixture to a good spreading consistency. Otherwise dispose of or save the juice for another use. Spread the mixture over the cooled brownie crust. Arrange the banana and strawberry slices over the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with the chopped nuts and drizzle with chocolate ice cream topping. Refrigerate. To serve, slice as you would a pizza, and enjoy! I hope you all like it because this was a hit at the family reunion. I would give it a 10 out of 10. My mom got this recipe from Paula Deen's website. Just type in Banana Split Brownie Pizza and it will pull up a picture of it. Sorry about that I should have posted a picture but didn't have time. Will post tomorrow about Super Savings Sunday!

Princess Day! ( August 6th)

On Thursday at noon we left from the church to the lakehouse ( our youth pastor's wife's parents). 20 girls got to go and I was one of them. It was a lot of fun. I haven't been to Eufaula in a long time. I got a huge tan!!!!! We got to learn new verses, hang out, and do bible studies. I had a blast! That was all I could talk about all week. They had a sonic ice machine maker so my mom is soo excited to go in the fall! I haven't written on here in awhile so sorry to keep you waiting. Here's some things that I did this week.

Sunday- we just were lazy around the house. We watched life church tv online, and Carter went to his friends house to stay the night and of course we did our coupon shopping! I will tell you more about that later.
Monday- I had a dentist appointment in Edmond. I went to Dr. Tracy. While we were waiting this girl in front of us went into the girls bathroom. I guess that she stopped up the toilet, so after she came out my mom goes, "I have to got to the restroom," I say ok. She tries to got to the girls bathroom but she couldn't because it was stopped up. Well my mom decided to go into the men's bathroom which there were not men in the waiting room. The girl looked up and her face was like Whoo. Then it was taken care of.
I got into the room and he was cute and nice (at least I thought), but he looked me in the eye and said that it wouldn't be a problem and I just kept smiling and I guess I had been smiling too much my top lip started quivering. It was really embarrasing. He looked at the palate of my mouth and said that he would have to do a biopsy - which ment he was going to take off that dark spot on my palate. He thought it was a freckle, but he just wanted to make sure. Then after the dentist appt we went to Baskin Robbins! I got cookies' n cream!!!! That evening we just relaxed.

Tuesday- Mrs. Dorraine and Mrs. Diana came over to have coffee in the morning and Mrs. Di helped us organize stuff everywhere. It's amazing because she is the bomb on this stuff. Time flew by that day. Lunchtime- We went to KFC to eat. While we were there there were these gay guys and one of the guys that looked like a girl went up the counter and Chloe decides to point it out. She says out loud " Is that a boy or a girl". My mom, Mrs Di, and I shot her a look then later we laughed about it. It was not the greatest service though my corn was still kinda frozen, Mrs Di's chicken was kinda black, and my mom went to the restroom and there was not toilet paper or paper towels. After that we went to McDonalds to get some ice cream, Carter got a shake and there was something wrong with it. It was disgusting. That was how our day was.

Wednesday- Well yesterday it was our annual girls' day. Just my mom and I! We went to Penn Square Mall. I had a gift card for Justice for Girls! My mom helped me pick out several really cute outfits, then we went to Borders to see if thery had the books that my mom wanted. For lunch we went to the Cheesecake Factory! My mom and I always get the Luau salad. It was really good. Around 2:15 that was the time scheduled for my biopsy. I was in the waiting room again praying that it would go ok and that it wouldn't hurt and just to calm me down. The nurse called me back there and I was shivering because I was nervous. The nurse says "are you cold" and I say yes! It was freezing in the surgery center. The nurse was so nice to me. She said, "Hey, girly!" and combs my hair. I mean my family is friends with her cousins, small world huh? They gave me the gas and it kinda helped. Ok, nobody told me I was gonna have to have 3 shots on the tops of my mouth. OW....... It went just great they got it all out and they sent it to the lab. I was so tired I was kinda drowsy and numb. So I took a little siesta but I still looked around at the door to see if Dr. Tracy was coming - there was just a tiny crack in the door. Then I heard my mom go Maddie is very impressed with Dr. Tracy and starts blabbin' and then my mom laughs after she says that. I was like I am going to get back at her - which I am very close to my mom. Then I was out and bleeding tremendously. But, we went to Baskin Robbins again. Then we headed to Quail Springs Mall and I got out and was like where is my coach purse? I left it at the Cheesecake Factory oh noo! So we didn't get to go in to Quail Springs but we went to Super Target and the prices were horrible - 4.00 dollars for 1 pint of blueberries. We could get 4 things of strawberries for the price of one at Walmart. So we went there that evening and got some goceries. That day was too good to last!

Today I will post later. I do not know what we are going to do today.

Cousins!

This week has been crazy! First last Saturday we went to my Uncle David's house for a cookout. We also got to see my cousins from Alabama that I have not got to see in several years. We had a blast! We did not get home until midnight, that meant it was Sunday, right? Anybody up for midnight shopping at Walgreens? I know I was! The school supplies were on sale this week. So I had to get some.

Monday- We got my cousin Cooper. It was nice my brother didn't bother me that much. Yea! He stayed until Thursday morning.
Tuesday- My mom's friend came into town with her kids, Will 11, and Carter 10. They are my really good friends too! That evening we got a snow cone and went to the skate park.
Wednesday- Our friends and my family went to the YMCA to swim! Then after that guess what we got another snow cone!
Thursday- We went to the movie in Bricktown to see " Hotel for Dogs"! I think that is another one of my favorite movies. After that we met my pops at Crossroads Mall. When we got there it looked like nothing anymore, not much commotion. I thought it was like Quail Springs Mall. Well, boy am I red.
Friday- We met our other friends at the YMCA to swim again. That is the best YMCA ever! This evening not much commotion, we figured out what we were going to eat the next week. I will share that tomorrow. I am tired and ready for bed so I will post tomorrow! MC

Busy Days'

Tuesday: We had a whole lot of fun with my granny and pa! We went to Carlitos and it was not that good, but I only had a tortilla and chips. I hate their cheese I like Abuelitas way better.

Wednesday: This week has been crazy! Well last I wrote we were going to IHop well we had a great time with my grandma. We ended up spending the night at her house! Which was alot of fun!

Thursday: We woke up, got ready, picked up my mom, and headed to McAlisters Deli! I like alot of places to eat but McAlisters Deli is perhaps one of my favorite places to eat. After we ate my grandma took us to JCPenney's to buy me a whole new bed set! My grandma is SO sweet to all of us. That evening was SO exciting I got my braces off after having them on for 16 months. My teeth are perfect! That is such a blessing! Then we got a snow cone and picked up Domino's pizza that was our day.

Friday: Today we got up fairly early. My mom had some Mediflight friends that she was going to eat with, so Chloe and I went to my mom's sister that has a baby (Addison) and spent the day with her. After that we went to Braums to get a shake! That evening we got our tag registered. We had a good couple of days. I am going to post a couple of pics of this week!

That is a total monster - it ate alot of my tomatoes and now it's not my friend. I have no idea what it is.

Cucumbers! Yum! We weren't sure if they start yellow and turn green, or start green and turn yellow. We decided it must be green to yellow, because they were very bitter.

YMCA

Hey guys! We have had a great day! We woke up, cleaned up around the house and made a few phone calls, then we went to the YMCA. It was so much fun, I finally got my dive and touching the bottom of the 10ft pool. Our YMCA is really nice not just by what it looks like, but the people in it too. I am sooo worn out. Anybody? I still have my heart monitor and it is going great. I havent had any complications in about a week. Yeah! Tomorrow we are going to my Granny's house. We are probably going to the best Mexican place in Oklahoma. Its Carlitos. I love to visit my Granny and Pa there house is soo much fun! Wednesday we are going to Ihop with my Grandma. I love my grandma and I Hop I dont know how to spell it, but thats ok.

Organizing My Hair Stuff

This morning my mom, chloe, and I went to church, there was 34 baptisms! WOW that is AMAZING! Then we wanted to pick up something fast to eat, so it was Sonic. Swimming

This afternoon I watched a show called "The Singing Bee". It was so cool and I would suggest that you watch it. Anyway this evening we went to a party and swam at our friends house and had a lot of fun! My sister swam away in the pool well with her floaties, and she did a great job. Carter played with his friends, and mom just hung out with her buddies. I was the oldest girl there, but that's OK I had a lot of fun with the 4 other little girls that were there. This blog is my journal so I will tell you guys if I have had a bad day, sad day, or a happy one. Also my dad has a toothache that's giving him a bad headache so just have him in your prayers. Tomorrow we are going to church so I will post tomorrow! Thanks!

P.S. The 50% reduced sugar cake was good, but I was not fond of the reduced sugar icing. Let me know if you make it and how it turns out.

Its the reduced sugar brand yellow cake and reduced sugar chocolate icing. Which we didn't have to get but there were coupons involved so why not! We got it free! A Good Day

Today was the first day that I have ever wrote on here. I am excited to share my day-by-day experience, cool recipes and organizing tips with you guys! Anyway today has been a good day, it started out by getting up around 7:04, going in the kitchen to make an eggo bakeshoppe swirl which was actually really good. Then around 10:00 going to the YMCA to train for the 5k my mom and I will be running. We did pretty good this morning we ran and walked a little over 2 miles. I then came home, got ready, and went to CVS and Walmart with my mom. We got some good deals today so I will share them with you: 4 bottles of Head and Shoulders, 4 bottles of Pantene, 2 Therma Care Wraps, 2 things of candy for my sister and me, and 3 boxes of cereal, the original price was around 50.00 but we had a whole lot of coupons so we ended up spending 16.78. WOW! Well, then we got 16.00 dollars worth of ECB's so it was like only .78 cents - that's a big difference.

Later, when we got home I wanted to make the ultimate fruit pizza that I had been dying to make. The recipe is:

1 tube (16-1/2 oz) refrigerated suger cookie dough
1 package (8oz) cream cheeze, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 can (21 0z) cherry pie filling
1-1/2 cups pineapple tidbits, drained
3/4 cup mandarin oranges, drained
3/4 cup green grapes, halved
3/4 cup fresh strawberries, halved

Glaze:
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 can (5-1/2 oz) unsweetened apple juice

* Let dough stand at room temp for 5-10 minutes to soften. Press onto an ungreased 12in pizza pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.

* In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, confectioners' sugar and lemon juice. Spread over crust. Top with pie filling; arrange the pineapple, oranges, grapes, and strawberries over filling.

* In a small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in apple juice. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 min or until thickened. Cool; brush over fruit. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour befor serving. ( I didn't refrigerate it I just ate it like 15 min after I brushed the glaze over the fruit).
